Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
Doodleverse (doodleverse.thornbyte.in) is a drawing game for children, run by Thornbyte, India. We built it so children can play safely, and we keep this policy short and plain.
The short version
- We do not ask for or collect names, email addresses, photos, locations or any other personal information from children.
- There are no accounts, no logins, no chat and no way for users to contact each other.
- If you type your child's first name at the start (optional), it is kept only in this browser so the characters can say it. It is never sent to us or anyone else.
- Drawings, settings (such as sound and the daily break time) and today's play time are saved only in your own browser on your device (using "local storage"). They are never sent to us.
- No advertising appears inside the game.
Information stored on your device
The game saves your child's creatures and settings in your browser's local storage so they are still there next time. You can delete the creatures from the parents page, or delete everything by clearing your browser's site data for doodleverse.thornbyte.in.
Fonts and hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and uses the Fredoka font from Google Fonts. Like any website, these services receive basic technical information needed to deliver the page (such as your IP address and browser type). They never receive your child's drawings. See the GitHub privacy statement and the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
Voice
The spoken drawing ideas use your device's built-in text-to-speech. Nothing is recorded; the game never uses the microphone or camera.
Advertising
To keep the site free, we may show ads from Google AdSense on information pages (such as this one and the parents' guide), never inside the game. Because our audience is children, the site is marked as child-directed. Google then shows only non-personalised ads, does not build interest profiles, and follows the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws. Learn more in how Google uses information in advertising.
Children's privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K and India's DPDP Act)
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live), and the site has no feature that asks for it. If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example by email), contact us and we will delete it.
