Doodleverse: a guide for parents and teachers
Doodleverse is a free drawing game for children aged about 3 to 10. Your child draws anything they like, taps Bring to life!, and the drawing becomes a little creature with eyes that swims in the ocean, flies in the sky or hops across a meadow. There is nothing to install and no account to make.
Daily break time
After a set amount of play each day, the world turns to night, the creatures fall asleep and your child is invited to come back tomorrow. A grown-up can press and hold the button on the night screen to allow 10 more minutes. Choose the daily limit here (it is saved on this device only):
Music and name
Very quiet, calm music that changes with each mission and dips whenever a character speaks.
Optional. Characters call your child by this name (default: Misti). It is saved only on this device.
How to play
- Pick a world: the ocean 🐠, the sky 🐦 or the meadow 🐰 (buttons at the top).
- Learn to draw: tap the big Draw button. A friendly voice suggests an idea, a reference picture shows what it looks like, and Show me draws it step by step on the paper. A dotted Trace guide helps younger children (tap it to turn it off).
- Bring to life: the drawing is cut out like a sticker, gets googly eyes and starts moving. Closed shapes are filled in automatically.
- Feed your friends: tap the water to drop food, the sky to make a star, or the grass to drop an apple. Creatures race to eat it and grow a little bigger each time.
- Level up: every few treats a creature levels up and gets a bow, sunglasses, a top hat and finally a crown.
- Stars and surprises: new friends, level-ups, the golden star that sometimes floats past and the daily present all give stars. Stars unlock the Sky and Meadow worlds and new brushes (rainbow, glitter, glow).
- Album: each idea your child draws fills a page of the album 📖. Tapping an empty page starts that drawing.
- Tickle: tap a creature and it spins, jumps and sends out hearts.
What children learn
- Creativity and imagination: there is no "right" drawing. A scribble becomes a character with its own personality.
- Drawing step by step: the reference pictures break each animal into simple shapes (an oval body, a triangle tail), which is how art teachers teach drawing.
- Fine motor skills: drawing with a finger or mouse builds the hand control that later helps with writing.
- Shapes and closed outlines: children quickly notice that closing a shape fills it in, which is a gentle lesson in drawing outlines.
- Cause and effect: feeding a creature makes it grow; tapping makes it react.
- Vocabulary: the spoken drawing ideas (octopus, dolphin, butterfly, ladybug…) introduce new words.
Ideas for playing together
- Ask your child to tell you the name of each creature and what it likes to eat.
- Draw a "family" for the ocean: a mum fish, a dad fish and a baby fish.
- Challenge older children to draw something for each world: what could live in the sky?
- Turn the sound off for quiet time, or leave it on so the voice can help non-readers.
Safety and privacy
- No sign-up, no names, no chat, and no way to contact other players.
- Drawings are saved only in this browser on this device. They are never uploaded. Each world keeps up to 10 creatures; when a new one arrives, the oldest waves goodbye.
- No advertising appears inside the game. Read the full privacy policy.

Which devices work?
Doodleverse works in any modern browser on tablets, phones, laptops and desktop computers. Tablets are the most fun because children can draw with a finger. For the best experience, hold a phone sideways.
Free drawing guides
Want to practise on paper too? Our step-by-step drawing guides show how to draw every picture in the game — a fish, a flower, a house, a rocket and more — in a few easy steps. They are also available in Hindi.
